| 17 Nov 2004 | Marlowe T. Peck | I think the torso is fine, but rather the arm covering it seems a little off. At first, I thought the shoulder was too far out. Then I realized that the arm itself is pushing too far to the right. I think that if you bring it back a little, it might work better. Of course, that would hide her back, which looks very nice. Anyways, this is really beautiful. Good job! Rachael *Lil Pixie* Evans replies: "I see what you're saying. Boy howdy, I've had the most trouble getting this pose to look natural. I'll try your suggestion and see how it turns out. I've got some other things to fix too, and some detail to add; I appreciate your input, every little bit helps >^^< Take care!" | |
| 19 Nov 2004 | Christine N. Colvin 'Zombie Queen' | Firstly . . . MUCH . . . much better! Lol The head is proportionate with the body and the hands (though the fingers are a tiny bit skinny) and feet are proportionate with the body. The face is much more natural and relaxed, as well, where it looked a bit pinched and severe on the original edition. I can see where you’re having issues with the torso, though. Not really being able to get myself into a crouch like that at this time (due to very recent knee surgery), I can only partially make due with trying to figure out if that position is actually accurate and anatomically plausible. Anyway, with the little that I can get my body into that position, I noticed that the arm resting on her knee is passing the body at a rather drastic angle, considering where her arm is actually resting on her knee. If she had her elbow on the front of the knee, then it would pass the body at that angle, but not where it’s currently resting. I also noticed that the crotch area is a bit chopped short, like her legs just kind of meet with nothing in the middle. My biggest piece of advice to anyone that asks for help with body positioning is: mirrors and trying it yourself. Put yourself into the position as closely as you can that you’re wanting to put your character into, and see if it’s plausible. Take into account a greater or lesser flexibility, differences in lengths of limbs and things akin to that, angle of view . . . and see if it’s actually possible. If you can’t do it, then chances are, neither can your character, unless they’re a contortionist Another bit of advice . . . get yourself laced into a corset at some point, that way you know the range of movement that they actually allow and how the breasts look in them . . . especially the boned ones. They give you amazing posture, but they’re abysmal to sword fight in, no matter how nifty Hollywood makes it look . . . lol! Otherwise, I really like this revised version, and while I can see that it’s just a sketch, it already shows really brilliant promise. I’d love to see it when it’s finished | |
| 20 Nov 2004 | Debra Lynn Turpin | Oh, I like the addition of the earrings. I did kind of like the corset on the older version though - hope this one turns out a bit more like that one. I really like the way the eyes are shaping up in this version, as well. (The jewelry is just looking pretty good. *smile*) | |
| 20 Nov 2004 | Debra Lynn Turpin | Hi there! Made it by... I definitely agree with Cristine. Try the pose yourself in a mirror and see how it looks. I like the softer, fuller face in this version very much. The fingers are a bit tiny, I would try to fill them out a bit - not too much - just a touch... Oh, try that pose in a pair of boots. The boots are still rough in this. There is no sole or heel, that just looks odd to me. The corset/breasts are better. Lots of potential here. Let me know when you get it done. I'd love to see it. | |
| 24 Jan 2005 | Rian Sanderse | The proportions are better now. I like the emptyness of the eyes, it's almost like she has a vision or something Love Rian | |
| 5 Jun 2005 | Debra Lynn Turpin | When are you going to finish this? *smile* I also see you've added several things since I was last here. I'll be back around to comment some more later. Just thought I'd nudge you a bit. Rachael *Lil Pixie* Evans replies: "Thanx dear, I need some nudging. I really do need to finish her, just don't seem to have the time lately, or inspiration for that matter. I desperately want to contribute to the latest Project but can't think of anything to draw, that's just pathetic given the subject of the Project! I really do need a kick in the rear! I think today I'll break out the drawing pad and see what comes to me ^^ Thanks again Deb!" | |
| 6 Jun 2005 | Andrew Cryer | Well maam, she has my vote-WOW. What an improvement. Your faces seem to have come a long way-I am impressed. Rachael *Lil Pixie* Evans replies: "Well thank you kindly, good sir. I do believe that could be just what I needed to get off my duff and finish this gal ^^ Thanks a bunch Andrew!!" | |
