Can I make a request? Could you draw a Buddha for me? For ideas, you could search on Shakyamuni Buddha or Sidhartha Gautama images. (So as not to get the pot-bellied Buddha, Maitraya!) I searched the on the Google Images page and got thousands of hits! No pressure, though. It seems as though your favorite subjects are from the fantasy realm. And you do them well!

You have an incredible grasp on textures-- the way you draw hair is so beautiful as it showcases its body, form and softness in such a free and organic way. hair is such a problem for most people, but your depictions are lovely. Your handle on textures in the gryphon picture was incredible...every tiny stroke of the feathers captured the texture so well, that i felt i could reach out and just feel the bird. Lovely work!

Well, it finally happened. One of my short stories, "The Waking of the Dead", has been accepted for inclusion in "Light at the Edge of Darkness", an anthology of Christian Speculative Fiction due to be published in 2007 by The Writers' Cafe Press. From the submissions I've seen it promises to be a very good book. Some other writers of the Herscher Project are going to have work in it, too, like Deb Cullens-Smith.

It took a while, but it's a good feeling!
